The Fenelon Fair is the main annual event run by the members of the Fenelon Agricultural Society. The Society exists and operates under the auspices of the Agricultural & Horticultural Organizations Act for the Province of Ontario, which is administered for the Ontario government by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture & Food.

The Society, as such. is made up of its members, who pay an annual membership fee of $10.00. Anyone may become a member of the Society by paying the annual fee. Each year at the Annual General Meeting of the Society a group of Directors is elected from the Society's membership, and they are entrusted by the membership to operate its affairs for a period of one year.

The Directors of the Fenelon Agricultural Society rely heavily on additional volunteers who help with such things as running various aspects of the Fair, as well as grounds maintenance.
